How's it going everyone! Vortech checking in to say hi! Sorry I haven't been quick to reply to my emails there Matty. All I can say-thank god! A board that is dedicated to gearheads all in the pursuit of one thing-GOING FAST!!!!!!!!!!Thumbs up buddy-I'll help make this board a success anyway I can-after all it's run by a really cool gearhead who could listen to me jabber forever about anything to do with going fast-how bout that LS6 intake buddy-am i going to have to armwrestle you to make you go buy one! Anyway what better way introduce myself to this board with some track footage. The GTAMC guys rented the St.Thomas on friday-I couldn't pass up the opportunity-I've been waiting for it all year. I mean how often do you get the whole track to yourself-no waiitng in the staging lanes-no line ups just line her up and go! I've been dying to get my 10 second pass all year-I was praying for it all week-did i get it? No-I didn't-am I pissed? Just a tad-BUT-I know it's only a better track away. As most of you know the track prep at St.Thomas is not the greatest-I couldn't even hook with 10psi in my ET Streets. Nonetheless I ran some encouraging MPH and 1/8mph too, at least I know the car is working. I was basically leaving off idle and spinning the tires through first and second-getting 1.9-1.88 sixty foots. It was a perfect opportunity to see how good my tune was and it wa spot on-a AFR of 11.3 all across the board. As most of you know there's a certain guy who considers himself the King of the Hill over at KWFbody. Well he's still the king but it won't be long before he's dethroned and finally bowing down to the mighty LS1. Anyway enought talk-lets see some racing!!!!!!

Nice work Vortech! Good to see yah here! I was talkin' to Thor at the gym yesterday and he mentioned you got down to the track. Tantalizingly close!! That car has a solid 10 in it with those mph. I can't wait till yah do it!

I'm waiting for better weather myself. Plus in the fall I'm bolting on the Nitto drag radials for a track day. I'm sick of not hooking. The car will hook or it will break. If it breaks I'll might have to get in on that GP with Rob and Jeremy on the 12 bolts. Wink

LS6 intake may still be a possibility for the fall if some things I've got on the go work out for extra cash flow. Modding on a budget always sucks!!

I hit the track a little while back again and the car was working good this time but the air was still a bit bad and my problem was that with 68% throttle in 1st gear the tears seared themselves the shreds when the car hits 4400 rpm (torque peak). Yeah so I have to back off to like 45% and then baby it into second, then stand on it. Still trapped 108.5 mph at St. Thomas but I want 110 mph out of the car on a good day.

If I armwrestle you I won't be driving stick for a WHILE! Very Happy

Oh yeah was talkin' with Vedren and his buddy and they said they'll be signin' up! Looks like we'll start a bit of a mustang presence on here! That's a damn good thing!

I want this board to be about ALL enthusiasts with the same goals in mind, having fun, making power, and enjoying their cars for the reasons THEY want too. I also want to get rid of the division between Mustang guys and F-Body guys and Chrysler guys (soon there will be more of these ala the Challenger). We all have the same interests, so lets all share our knowledge, learn about eachothers rides, and take part in some friggin' cool events!

I'll still be an active member over at KWF-Body but this will be my baby and an alternative to enthusiasts that want a less specialized club that is out to have some multicartural fun. Wink

Oh yeah! Create your "Garage" and add your 1/4 time and dyno numbers (rolling road as it's called on this thing) then you can take status as top dawg on the 1/4 mile ranking you can click on at the top of the board.

You can't let me be #1 with a 13.43 can you??

Click on the Garage link at the top of this page, then click on create a vehicle button on the left. Create your mustang and then you'll be able to add a 1/4 mile run to it! Very Happy
