Hey guys. Usually I estest the Zedder the summer before its due as my birthday is in January. That way I dont have to get it out of storage in the spring and deal with it. I would need to replace the super small cats in my Y pipe to get it to pass this year and I dont really want to. I'm thinking that I save my pennies between now and next spring and replace the whole thing, headers back with a new system. I really like the Bassani true dual system that Leroy has. It would have to be modified to fit my headers and I'd need to add cats to it. That option would come in around $1100 US but its a bad ass system that sounds great and fits like a glove from what I have heard and seen. Anyone have any experience with shops that do good work and could fab up a stainless true dual system for that amount or less?

Ugh that's a tough one Rich. I'd be in the same boat for you if I didn't find my solution this spring.

Unfortunately I don't know many guys that are good and do stainless anywhere around here.

Hmm.. Whats the repair cost limit for e-test these days? Still $450?

Well.. they are likely going to do cat effeciency tests before replacing cats and other diagnostic which does squat for your car. Those little things will help add to the $450 get out of e-test conditional pass... but like I said, does nothing for you.

If you think that $1100 (good for at least 2 conditional passes) will get you by the next 4 years of e-test (hopefully more) plus freeing up a pony or two, then its worth it!

Doo It... you know you want to. (sry, no shop to recommend)

I think I'll take you up on that offer Markus. Sunday after 10:00 am Dani and I will be signing up to purchase a toy of another sort. A rather large one located not too far from you and Vicki. I think the mod money for next year will have to be used elsewhere. The new acquisition should do a fine job of keeping the Camaro warm and dry though, and also give its owner some much needed room to work as well. Wink
