well I did some reading over at dieselpowermag.com, and the dodge gets better fuel mileage, and ppl claim the powerplant will have the superior longevity since there are fewer moving parts. The higher mileage engines on that forum seem to be just over 500000 miles...at least the members who post.
seems the rest of these trucks fall apart long before the drivetrain has any problems lol Just like my VW!!!
Oh, as for ford...great reviews on the body, but the drivetrain seems to have lots of problems..
And another thing to look at is maintenace if you're doing the work yourself-supposedly duramaxes are a pita to work on
